KORUโs new Course sneak peak!
Our inner energies are influenced by the cycles of the sun and moon and the movements of the Earth so it is not coincidental that all cultures and traditions at one point based their way of life on these cycles.
As we approach March Equinox to bring in the Spring, we invite you to come and join us in this special gathering.
You will discover how connected we are to the stars and all living beings on this planet and learn how this connection is what allows us to find healing and understanding in the use of plant medicine.
What is cacao?
Cacao is one of the ancient plant medicines used by natives in Mexico, Central and part of South America.ย It is known as a heart opener because it stimulates blood circulation which increases activity in the brain and nervous system.ย As it does this, it energetically connects the mind with the heart allowing us to be in tune with ourselves and those around us.
Cacao also promotes joy, acceptance and excitement for life and yet it keeps us grounded and aware.
Who are we?
Kinti-illya was born out of the idea of sharing our personal and communal experience with ancestral traditions and the commitment to keep them alive.
Carolina has been working and training with natives in Peru for over ten years where she received the title of Paqo or Inca mesa carrier.ย She has been part of and has hosted multiple national and international plant medicine and self-discovery retreats.ย Certified Yoga instructor since 2015, she also practices Tibetan Buddhism and is recognized as a holistic massage therapist.
Shane is a world traveler, hiking guide and certified Tai Chi instructor.ย He has been working with ancestral plant medicines for over six years.
One of the common things about plant medicines is that participants have a hard time putting into words what they have experienced.ย Many of them agree that it is only when you are sitting in the circle that you can understand what happens to your body, mind and soul.ย We hope you can join us and live the experience yourself.
Munay,
Carolina & Shane

This event is led by Shai Fishman and Lea Synefakis & will go from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.
Please send us an email (info@wearekoru.com) if you are interested in attending!
Shai and Lea believe that even the most challenging relationship conflicts can be defused with the right communication tools and commitment to showing up as your best self every day. Please note: we are not couples therapists. We are coaches who can empower you with a specific communication toolset that will enable you to create fulfilling relationships and navigate your own unique challenges.
Servis Events Cooking Class โ March 25th
Join brothers Nic and Steve Servis on March 25th for a pasta cooking class!
This event is capped at 15 people to make sure there is enough pasta for everyone who attends at the event. If there are more than 15 people interested, we can work to accommodate five more people at maximum.
During the class we will show everyone how to make ricotta cheese, the ratios of the cheese, what to look for when making it and how to strain it and cool it. We explain how to make pasta dough (using only local ingredients), what to look for and feel for (we let everyone touch it). We then show everyone how to roll tortellini with the ricotta cheese we made and how to dry and cut fettuccine. After we make the pasta we cook two different pasta dishes that we normally serve at our events.
All of the pasta everyone eats will be made ahead of time so there arenโt fifteen strangers touching your food ๐. We always offer a salad for everyone to pick at with local greens and a balsamic dressing. And of course a giant water pitcher of our special water.
Send us an email (info@wearekoru.com) to reserve your spot at the cooking class!
