Conscious Communication – March 23rd
Going from Rupture to Repair in all your Relationships…
This event is led by Shai Fishman and Lea Synefakis & will go from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.
Please send us an email (info@wearekoru.com) if you are interested in attending!
Shai and Lea believe that even the most challenging relationship conflicts can be defused with the right communication tools and commitment to showing up as your best self every day. Please note: we are not couples therapists. We are coaches who can empower you with a specific communication toolset that will enable you to create fulfilling relationships and navigate your own unique challenges.
Servis Events Cooking Class
Join brothers Nic and Steve Servis on March 25th for a pasta cooking class!
This event is capped at 15 people to make sure there is enough pasta for everyone who attends at the event. If there are more than 15 people interested, we can work to accommodate five more people at maximum.
During the class we will show everyone how to make ricotta cheese, the ratios of the cheese, what to look for when making it and how to strain it and cool it. We explain how to make pasta dough (using only local ingredients), what to look for and feel for (we let everyone touch it). We then show everyone how to roll tortellini with the ricotta cheese we made and how to dry and cut fettuccine. After we make the pasta we cook two different pasta dishes that we normally serve at our events.
All of the pasta everyone eats will be made ahead of time so there aren’t fifteen strangers touching your food 😂. We always offer a salad for everyone to pick at with local greens and a balsamic dressing. And of course a giant water pitcher of our special water.
Send us an email (info@wearekoru.com) to reserve your spot at the cooking class!

Learn Mindful Breathing, Part 3
Alternate Nostril Breathing
In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control.
The practice of pranayama involves breathing exercises and patterns.
You purposely inhale, exhale, and hold your breath in a specific sequence.
One such method of Pranic Breathing is Alternate Nostril Breathing.
In the practice of Alternate Nostril Breathing, you can hold one finger to cover a nostril, breathing in through the other.
Switch this sequence between each nostril for a few minutes prior to your meditation.
Alternate Nostril Breathing practiced over time is known to better balance your nervous system and bring less stress response to activity over time.
